Goods exports to the United States, banning precious essence, fell by£ 1.5 billion, or 24.7, following the preface of tariffs, the Office for National Statistics( ONS) said Friday.
The statistics body added that auto exports from the U.K. to the countries have also fallen since also and now emaciate belowpre-tariff situations in the 12 months since April 2025.

“ The US remains the UK’s largest import request- so this scale of downturn is likely to have consequences on overall UK growth, ” said Samuel Edwards, head of customer portfolio operation at Ebury.
“ Exporters are facing a triadic squeeze of advanced trading costs from tariffs, raised employment costs and levies, and input price pressures all of which are eroding perimeters and making it harder to contend internationally. ”
